Dr Rowan Ogeil
Rowan is a Senior Research Fellow in the Eastern Health Clinical School in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, and Strategic Lead of the National Addiction and Mental Health Surveillance Unit (NAMHSU) at Turning Point, Eastern Health. He is a Deputy Editor of Drug and Alcohol Review (DAR), Asia-Pacific's leading multidisciplinary journal addressing issues related to alcohol and drug-related problems.
Rowan has received numerous fellowships, including a Peter Doherty Biomedical Fellowship (NHMRC). As the recipient of a Australia-Harvard Fellowship from the Harvard Club of Australia, he worked as a Visiting Professor at Harvard Medical School and the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Rowan's research has attracted more than $10 million in funding. His research interests span alcohol and drug's effects on sleep, and seeking emergency care and he has authored more than 100 publications in the fields of addiction, substance use, population surveillance, and sleep.
