Dr Sonia Davison

Dr Sonia Davison MBBS FRACP PhD

Sonia is an endocrinologist with more than 20 years’ experience and a specialist interest in women’s health, hormones and menopause.

Sonia is a Clinical Fellow at Jean Hailes for Women’s Health and has previously worked with the Women’s Health Research Program at Monash University. She currently consults in private practice at Melbourne Endocrine Clinic in Malvern and at Jean Hailes for Women’s Health.

Her PhD and postdoctoral research focused on hormones in women, including the measurement of androgens and their relationship with age, mood, sexual function and cognition. Her research and clinical work have contributed to a broader understanding of the complex role hormones play in women’s health across the lifespan.

Sonia is a Past President of the Australasian Menopause Society and former editor of its newsletter, Changes. She is also a current Board Member of the Asia Pacific Menopause Federation.

A respected clinician, researcher and educator, Sonia has published extensively in the field of women’s health and regularly presents at scientific and professional conferences, podcasts, webinars and community seminars. She is also frequently invited to contribute to the media, including the television program The Truth About Menopause, featuring Myf Warhurst.

Sonia is passionate about translating evidence-based research into practical information that helps women better understand their health, hormones and wellbeing.
