Katrina Locandro

Katrina is a women’s mental health leader, advocate, researcher and the strategic mind behind Women’s Mental Health Australia.

Through her work, Katrina listens to thousands of women each year and helps amplify their experiences navigating healthcare, pregnancy, work, motherhood and life’s pressures. She leads Women’s Mental Health Australia’s annual research, uncovering the realities, gaps and opportunities in Australia’s mental health system; turning these findings into advocacy priorities and policy reforms.

As a proud mum, she is dedicated to working at the intersection of real-life experience and research, turning national data into honest conversations about what women are actually facing when it comes to mental health - ensuring the landscape for the next generation is better and brighter when it comes to mental health care.

Known for her literal sense of humour and ability to make complex topics feel human and relatable, Katrina believes mental health conversations shouldn’t be reserved for experts or crisis moments. They should be honest, inclusive, and grounded in everyday life.
